RTOSLin

RTOSLin: RTOS Virtual Machine for Linux

Since 1996 the KUKA real-time technology is well proven in many applications world-wide.
This technology is also available for Linux now: Any off-the-shelf Real-time Operating system and Linux can be executed concurrently on one system.
The Real-time Operating system is running completely independent from Linux (or Windows) and fully keeps its real-time behavior.
As a core technology the RTOS Virtual Machine (RTOS-VM) provides the run-time environment for the Real-time Operating system (RTOS).

The RTOS Virtual Machine is not using any Windows or Linux services, just the booting of the RTOS-VM is handled by a Linux-/Windows-Loader.
Any Real-time Operating system which is provided by the RTOSWin product family can thus be used under Linux as well. A re-compile or re-link step is not required.

Already existing real-time applications as well as new applications (binary images!) based on the RTOSWin product family can be re-used under Linux:

VxWin: Wind River VxWorks
CeWin: Microsoft Windows CE
AT-RTOS32Win: On Time RTOS-32
QWin: QNX (a product of IBV Echtzeit und Embedded GmbH & Co.KG, Augsburg, Germany)
EUROSWin: EUROS
