EtherCAT Performance Analysis
Recent updates to EC-Master include a built-in performance measurement capability, and now this is integrated into EC-Engineer to quickly and easily see information about common cyclic functions like: overall cycle time, processing received frames, and sending cyclic frames. In addition to the duration time each function requires, you can also see the time offset for when that function is executed relative to the start of the cycle.
EtherCAT Master Memory Usage
The acontis EtherCAT Master software EC-Master comes with a function for determining the maximum required dynamic memory (RAM) for a specific EtherCAT network configuration. This value is particularly useful in systems with limited resources. This feature is now integrated into EC-Engineer for quick and easy access.
EC-Inspector can now monitor the CANopen-over-EtherCAT (CoE) transfers from the EtherCAT network.
With new support for slave device ESI files, EC-Inspector can now display the object descriptions of the transferred data. If the slave has the Object Dictionary embedded in the ESI file then all known values are displayed on the slave CoE tab in the Device Editor window. If the slave does not have the Object Dictionary embedded in the ESI file, then all CoE transfers are logged.
Also included in the CoE tab is a Single Object view to read objects.
